Beckham County OK has been impacted by Marijuana and Opioid use and the problems it can create. The ODMHSAS partnered with Southwestern Oklahoma Develepment Authority to start Community Based Prevention efforts. Kiowa County has also received grants to combat alcohol abuse prevention. Even One Less supports these efforts as part of our suicide prevention mission, knowing many who commit suicide suffer a substance abuse problem. We have paid for posters to be displayed in medical marijuana retail stores, encouraging users to safely store their marijuana, discouraging the misuse of medication.
